Greenful reforms the construction industry in a more sustainable direction:

One of these products is the Greenful Panel, a strong, load-bearing building panel. It will be manufactured in a new factory in Kampen, the Netherlands, for which Greenful needed the support of an experienced engineering firm. From a range of options, the company chose Elomatic, who joined the project as a technical partner responsible for the conceptual design of the plant.

An experienced player is a valuable partner in factory design 

The conceptual design included the design and adaptation of the factory manufacturing process to the factory building, the electrical and automation design and the HVAC design of the production facilities. In addition, Elomatic was responsible for the definition of the production capacity of the plant and the cost calculations for the entire plant.

As an experienced engineering house, Elomatic was able to advise the company on how to proceed with the project. The factory project is a first for Greenful, but Elomatic has a long history of designing factories. 

“We have benefited enormously from working with Elomatic. I would like to encourage other early-stage companies to get an experienced partner to support them in their factory investments, so that the project progresses quickly and with high quality. In this way, the implementation of the plans does not depend on human resources or expertise,” says Toomas Allikas, the CEO of Greenful.

The plant will be built in an old property, so Elomatic’s engineers have travelled to the Netherlands to visit the site. Otherwise, the international team has worked seamlessly together remotely.

“Communication with Greenful has been straightforward from the start. They have trusted our professional engineers, which has made the collaboration effortless. Even with changing goals the project has progressed well,” confirms Pirinen.

Building a sustainable world requires innovativeness

The vision of Greenful is to be a global leader in the market for recycled building materials, and one of its goals is to bring other building materials developed by the company into production. The first production plant in the Netherlands is just the start of a journey towards a more sustainable, resource-wise world. 

“The first factory project is intended to serve as a model for future factories. This will allow us to scale up production and expand to other countries, such as Finland, where Greenful’s second factory is being built,” says Vasileff.

Expansion into solar energy production and waste sorting centers are also part of Greenful’s plans for the future.

“Elomatic will be the technological partner in all these projects. If anything, this is a testament to Elomatic’s extensive expertise,” emphasizes Allikas.
