Elomatic’s Olli Manner Receives Honorary Doctorate from the University of Turku

Elomatic’s former CEO and Chairman of the Board, Olli Manner, will be awarded an honorary doctorate by the Faculty of Technology at the University of Turku. An honorary doctorate is the highest distinction a university may confer upon a person.

The University of Turku will confer honorary doctorates upon ten distinguished individuals during the Conferment of Doctoral Degrees ceremony, taking place on 15–16 May 2025. The honorees have been selected for their significant scientific achievements, collaboration with the University of Turku, or influential societal contributions.

Olli Manner has been recognized for his long-standing and impactful efforts in advancing Finnish technological excellence and promoting technology education. He has worked tirelessly to benefit engineering and education in Turku. As Chairman of the executive team for FITech Turku, a network university under the Finnish Institute of Technology, Manner has successfully connected Finnish universities of technology with the high-tech expertise needs of Southwest Finland’s business community. At Elomatic and Cadmatic, he has led both companies to grow into globally recognized Finnish high-tech exporters.

Olli graduated with a Master of Science in Technology from Tampere University of Technology in 1982 and has held numerous board positions throughout his career. Among his most notable roles, he has served on Elomatic’s Board of Directors since 2015, including as Chairman from 2015 to 2023. He has also been Chairman of Cadmatic’s Board of Directors since 2016 and has held board memberships at companies such as Pemamek (2016–present) and Stera Group (2024–present).
